Our client is seeking to recruit an experienced CNC Milling Machine Programmer with a minimum of two years experience in CNC Milling Machine programming is essential. Applicants must have a good working knowledge & experience in the use of 3D CAD systems, must be able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and have a good understanding of geometrical dimensioning & tolerances. Applicants must also posses excellent analytical & interpersonal & communications skills. Duties & Responsibilities: The CNC Programmer independently evaluates, selects & applies standard engineering techniques, procedures & criteria to carry out tasks required in CNC programming. Actively pursues quality & productivity improvements in the manufacturing process. Actively applies new programming technologies & evaluates & reports on tooling opportunities which will contribute to the plants objectives & goals. Assisting the Production Manager in various other duties including maintenance of quality records, quality standards & production. Working with the tool room team to complete jobs to specific schedules. Maintaining accurate records and details of work in progress and complete work. Skills Required: Ability to work to high specifications and quality requirements in the production of machine tools. Knowledge and experience of 3D Cad. Ability to generate CNC Milling machine programmes. Ability to work to tight machining & manufacturing tolerances. Ability to examine detailed drawings and/or specifications to assess job, material &n equipment requirements. Good knowledge of computers. Ability to check accuracy & quality of finished parts and/or tools. Accuracy with numbers – counting, measuring & arithmetic. Ability to show accuracy & attention to detail in work. Ability to work out sizes & allowances based on knowledge of metals.
