A Project Manager is required by CareerWise Recruitment for a leading Medical Device company based in Donegal . This is to join a New Product Engineering Team to commission and support the introduction of an automation process. THE ROLE: * Drive timely introduction on any new products or product upgrades in line with customer expectations. * Work in close cooperation with other departments to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and fully compliant with internal quality systems. * Monitor & report on project progress, issues, budgets, bottlenecks or resources. * Work closely with customers to develop customer accounts and ensure customer satisfaction is at all times maintained. * Manage and coordinate technical support of existing product lines where required. * Provide leadership & technical guidance for cross functional teams to solve problems, improve processes and drive cost savings where possible. * Drive and document R&D projects as required. * Identify opportunities for development and use initiative to drive improvements and maintain project documentation. * Support qualification of new products / processes and ensure compliance to quality standards through execution of protocols. * Identify and drive opportunities for improvements to systems and processes. * Safety/ Risk Assessments: position will be responsible for ensuring safety compliance of products / processes, and supporting both conducting and timely closeout of risk assessments. * Some national and international travel may occasionally be required. REQUIREMENTS: * Degree in relevant technical discipline such as Polymer or Mechanical Engineering. * A technical background in project or process development with knowledge of injection moulding & tooling, polymer materials, product design or similar fields would be a key benefit. * Experience (5 - 7 years) in a related industry and have developed strong skills in some or all of the following areas: Project Management, New product introduction, Research & Development, Product/Process Design & Development, Tooling Engineering and Validation. * Experience in the Medical Device Manufacturing industry would be a distinct advantage.
