Our client is a unique and innovative packaging company with a presence in over 100 countries. The company is going through significant expansion at the moment and as such, are looking for an Operations Excellence Specialist to join their growing team at their Manufacturing facility in the North West. The Position. The Operations Excellence Specialist will report directly into the Operations Director and will be responsible for the following: Supporting Manufacturing functions including Planning, Logistics, Quality Control, Human Resources and Labour Allocation. Ensuring efficiencies with regards to production scheduling and minimisation of change overs. Overseeing the accurate processing of raw materials and timely shipment of finished goods. Working with relevant contacts in HR to ensure there is a comprehensive training schedule onsite and promote employee engagement. Monitor the compliance of the quality function in line with ISO, BRC and other accreditation bodies. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally in the functions listed above. This person must have a hands-on approach and a continuous improvement mindset. Working knowledge of quality systems including ISO and BRC is a must. Knowledge of employment law would also be helpful. This is a permanent position that offers the right candidate an opportunity to step into a management positions.
